Class of 2015 point guard Ty Cockfield of Johnson HS (GA) was named an Elite Basketball Academy All-American back in September. The critical writing essay 5-foot-11 senior point guard has been on fire as of late even adding an offer from Stetson this past weekend. His recent run started in late December as he won the MVP of the prestigious Lanierland Tournament. He then followed that up with a big time outing in this event in a matchup versus Hayesville.

Cockfield’s classmate and teammate Rod English has been just as productive this season on the wing as Ty has been at the point. In this setting, English was named the MVP in the win over Hayesville. Piedmont was at the Lanierland Finals to see the left-handed senior wing custom assignment writing player. Expect English recruitment to continue to take off as the season winds down especially if the Knights make a deep run in the state tournament.

For Hayesville (NC), class of 2016 swing forward Zach Cottrell is the leader of the pack. The 6-6 prospect has garnered offers from Appalachian State, Charlotte, Mercer and Western Carolina. A three-star plus prep per, Cottrell was on a mission in this eval. He played the point, posted up and rebounded the ball on the interior. The only thing that Cottrell didn’t do was work the concession stand. Even in a loss, his talent was essay on my aim in life with headings on full display in a matchup against two of the better prospects that North Georgia has to offer this season.
