Height: 6’8″
Position: Forward
Committed College: Undecided
Star Grade:
Date: May 1, 2015
Evaluator: Jonathan Hemingway
Location: Bob Gibbons Invitational (Suwanee, Ga.)
Bruner played a wing forward position this weekend for his Upward Stars team. He played the top of a 3-2 defense and pressured the ball consistently in the open court. With his length and solid footwork, he becomes a nightmare wing defender for opponents. He played facing the college application essay review basket most of the time from the wing, unlike previous evaluations. His release on his 3-point jumper is smooth and he displayed functional ball handling ability versus pressure.
Date: October 11, 2014
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: John Lucas Invitational (Louisville, Ky.)
Much like the St. Louis eval, Bruner showed himself as a long power forward option. He hit a tough fadeaway from 10 feet but does most of his scoring in transition or on putbacks. He’s quick with his leap off of the ground.
Date: June 14, 2014
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: Nike Elite 100 Camp (St. Louis, Mo.)
Bruner buy business plans is a long, lean option at the power forward position. He has good bounce but isn’t elite in that regard. Bruner hit a 15 footer here and is a steady producer though he didn’t display a definitive specialty.
