Sy ran the floor from end to end in transition, finished on the break and changed shots with his length on the interior. His offensive skill set is still a work in best college essays ever progress but he has the tools to be a productive player in the front court.

Sy is a versatile defender as he played time at the top of Oak Hill’s press. He guarded Carlton Bragg as well for a good portion of this game. He plays in the high post on offense, but we he gets into the ball screen situation is strictly a pick and roll guy. He finished this game with 4 points and 1 rebound.

Now listed at 6-10, Sy showed a few more tools in this setting than we saw previously in the HS season. He block shots with his long wing span and he showed the ability to finish on either side of the hoop. Once he adds weight to his frame, he should become a true paint presence. His left hand does need to get stronger, especially if he develops into a finesse type scorer in the paint rather than a brute finisher.

Sy is a bit of a project, but he has a lot of tools to be excited about. At 6-9 and only a sophomore, he has terrific length and athleticism. He has soft touch at 10′, which hopefully will develop into more range in the upcoming years.
