The Huskies have plenty of reason to be excited about Mike Neighbors first year at the helm of the Pac-12 program. Neighbors takes over after Kevin McGuff departed for Ohio State last spring. Neighbors returns four starters from last season’s 21-win team. All four averaged at least 32 minutes a game with Jazmine Davis leading the way at 37.7 minutes per.
We expect that number to decrease a little this year giving them fresher legs down the homestretch of the season. Coach Neighbors project management assignment welcomes the nation’s No. 9 incoming freshman recruiting class per ProspectsNation.com to Seattle. Led by Kelsey Plum, the No. 26 overall prospect in the class nationally, all three true freshman were ranked in the ELITE 100. In addition, the Huskies gain the services Redshirt freshman Katie Collier sat out the 2012-13 with a knee injury after being named a McDonald’s All-American in the spring of 2012.
They will need that group of freshman to progress quickly as they have nine games on the schedule versus teams that made the NCAA Tournament in 2013. The home schedule is headlined by a weekend in early February harvard essay editing service in which the Huskies host both California and Stanford on a Friday/Sunday slate. Those two teams made the Final Four and Sweet Sixteen respectively in last year’s NCAA Tournament.
