We are in an age of basketball where it does not matter if your 4-man is a few inches shorter than the ideal. What is most important is whether your power forward brings a given specialty that can change the game for your team. Wiley checks several boxes in terms of production from an interior forward standpoint. He is a high energy player that gives extraordinary effort nightly. That is not hyperbole either given the fact that he had sweated through his shirt just 15 minutes into the opening skill session on Saturday evening. What Wiley brings to the game specifically is a defensive energy that allows him to trap on the perimeter or clean the glass when called upon. Offensively the junior is still best around the elbow or the short corner where he can attack a slow footed defender. We expect a big senior year from Wiley.
