Jalen Hillery
Height: 6’5″
Grad Year / Position: 2017 – Wing
School / Hometown: Central Gwinnett HS (Lawrenceville, Ga.)
Committed College: Undecided
By: @JLHemingwayPSB
Date: May 29, 2016
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: Nike Boys EYBL Session IV (Atlanta, GA)
Hillery is growing his game with every evaluation. He can score the ball from the outside but has deceptive athleticism/length. Hillery hasn’t received consistent floor time during EYBL play but is one for colleges needing a big wing to keep an eye on.

Hillery showed versatility and athleticism once again in this camp setting. His size and ability to defend multiple positions make him an attractive prospect both at the high school and college level. He continues to work to improve his jumper, which we did see progress on this weekend. His biggest challenge will be to bring an “alpha” mentality each time he steps on to the court.

Hillery is a versatile player who can use his size on the interior or stretch the floor with his shooting ability. His length is ideal for playing high level basketball on the wing. Given his skill set, IQ and size we predict that Hillary should be a valuable piece on coach Branden Mayweather’s roster this year at Central Gwinnett High School.

We have charted Hillery’s progression as a prospect for nearly a year now as we first evaluated him at our EBA All-American Camp last October. Hillary has bulked up, but has kept his nimble footwork to finish around the basket. His ability to run the floor, hit the spot jumper and affect the game with his long arms should keep him as a contributor for the Black Knights at Central Gwinnett this year.

One of the more promising prospects at the EBA All-American Camp was the 6-5 Hilary. The sophomore wing showed his perimeter skill this weekend as he knocked several outside jumpers and put the ball on the floor. This type of natural ability and skill should translate well for the young prospect, especially given the fact that he exhibited terrific coachability during drill work and game play. If he can learn to become equally physical on the interior as he is as smooth along the arc, he will utilize all of the natural talent that he has been blessed with. Look for him to contribute this season for coach Branden Mayweather’s Black Knights.
