Ballard is an athletic off guatd who can attack the lane. He showed himself as a solid shooter in this eval as well. His frame and athleticism make him a high level option.

Location: Bob Gibbons Invitational (Suwanee, Ga.)
Ballard played a wing position today and was as impactful as what Brandon described below. His athletic build and ability to shoot the ball puts him the ELITE discussion. He did not attack the rim with consistency today as we have seen in past evaluations.

Location: The Preview (Marietta, Ga.)
Ballard hit an 18 foot jumper off of the bounce, got to the rim and hit a 3-pointer. He’s one of the premier scorers at the position that I’ve seen to date.

Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: John Lucas Invitational (Louisville, Ky.)
Ballard has great size at the off guard position. He’s a similar scorer/athlete to Malik Beasley (GA-15). Ballard has an awkward release but it goes in consistently. He’s explosive with good bounce around the rim.

Evaluator: Marques Burnett
Location: Super Sophomore Camp (Lithonia, Ga.)
Ballard shot it well from 15ft out to the 3 point line. Can have a line drive and unorthodox shot from outside, but he knocks it down. Used his length well to rebound, run the court, and finish. Nice move and finish during Top 40 game when he broke his defender down off the dribble and splashed a floater over the defender. When selected for Top 40 game, body language said “Cool. I should’ve been in the Top 20 game though”. His play echoed that sentiment.

Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: The Preview (Norcross, Ga.)
Ballard is a talented young perimeter prospect. He hit the 17 foot jump shot and the 3-pointer off of the bounce. He is a smooth shooter for a freshman. That ability coupled with his length should make him a high priority for NCAA Tournament caliber schools nationwide.
