BrandonClayScouting.com Player Evaluations

Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: Nike Elite 100 Camp (St. Louis, Mo.)
Finke has good strength on the wing and is a willing shooter based on his play here. He’s a strong-framed option who was impactful on the offensive end here than when I saw him last month during EYBL play.

Finke is an active wing with length. Offensively he has range to arc and will move without the basketball. Defensively he is bouncy and able to block shots on the rotation.

Finke played his role as a secondary scorer for this Eagles team. He has surprising athleticism. He showed that by finishing a number of dunks and alley-oops in a win over MoKan today. He has range on his jumper, but his 28% from beyond the arc is a bit concerning. He also shot 52% from the line, so we will hesitate to call him a shooter quite yet.

Location: Nike EYBL Session IV (Suwanee, Ga.)
Finke is a forward with good size on the perimeter. He’s putting up quality numbers as an underclassmen on the 17u EYBL stage: 9 points, 4.4 rebounds per contest. That said, Finke’s percentages are lower than expected: 54 from free throw, 28 from the 3-point line, 36 from the field.
