BrandonClayScouting.com Player Evaluations

Date: June 18, 2016
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: NBPA Top 100 Evals (Charlottesville, VA)

Smith is a physical wing with bounce at the wing position. He might be more of a 4 player skill set wise and has the frame to play either spot.

Date: May 24, 2016
Evaluator: Jonathan Hemingway
Location: Nike EYBL Session IV (Atlanta, Ga.)

Smith is a big time athlete as a combo forward. He boomed an alley oop off of a set play and then finished through traffic. He also showed a jumper off of a jab and step back in the mid range. It is to be determined whether that is a long term part of his game. He shot less than 40% from the field and only 9-45 from 3pt range. He finished averaging close to 9 points and 5 rebounds per game.

Smith is a strong-framed combo type at the forward position. Long term, he might be a better matchup at the 4 depending on personnel and his skill development. Smith is averaging 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds per through 16 EYBL games.

Smith is Dimencio Vaughn like with his size on the perimeter. He is capable of getting into the paint off of the bounce.

Smith had only a limited impact here today in a match-up versus the Arkansas Wings. He had a good activity on the wing, but finished only with 6 points in 18 minutes. He had a solid year averaging 8 points per game and 3 rebounds.

Smith is a lengthy wing forward who has some ball skill. He can get down hill with the drive in straight lines. He scored 11 points on 4 of 7 shooting.
