BrandonClayScouting.com Player Evaluations

Brown wasn’t as dominant in this setting as he was in the spring. That said, he was still effective with a combo of length and athleticism in transition.

Brown was outstanding in this setting. He was all over the rim making plays finishing and rebounding. A right-hand dominant post option, Brown showed touch at the basket and a tough floater from 8 feet with that strong hand as well.

Brown is a thinly built forward with plenty of spring in his legs. He has a tendency to float to the perimeter at times and try to be a combo-forward, however he is best along the frontline finishing plays around the rim. He will need to improve his off hand finishing, however. He did show the ability to hit the open jump shot from the perimeter, but he does not have the ball skill to be that full time wing player. He is very good in transition and will finish plays getting downhill in that way.

Brown is a solid power forward showing that he can hit the half hook around the rim with either hand. That skill reminds us of Duke commit Chase Jeter (NV-15). Brown rebounded the ball well in a gym full of some of the nation’s post players.
