By: @JLHemingwayPSB & @BrandonClayPSB
Date: February 8, 2015
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: Nike Extravaganza (Santa Ana, Calif.)
Hampton is a below the rim guy at the power forward spot who showed that he is capable of playing at a high level here. He is in better shape than at NBPA last summer.
Date: December 12, 2014
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: Team Takeover National Hoops Showcase (Hyattsville, Md.)
Hampton played inside / outside in this eval. The left-handed forward hit a 3-pointer and seems most comfortable catching to face. His conditioning is a issue that he’ll have to continue to address.
Date: December 5, 2014
Evaluator: Jonathan Hemingway
Location: Marshall County Hoop Fest (Benton, Ky.)
Hampton has an identity crisis as to whether he is going to be an interior player or a face up player. He played more productively than he did in our last evaluation (Nike Extravaganza 2014). He is big! But he is not in very good shape. He does score well around the rim when he decides to commit that area. He is a good 3-point shooter with his feet set. Finding that balance between inside and outside will be his greatest challenge. He started for this Oak Hill team, played 24 minutes and scored 9 points with 2 rebounds.

Hampton is a force on the inside. The left-handed forward is a probable top five player at the position nationally. DeMatha looks to run their offense through him. Hampton can catch, face and score or be a factor with his back-to-basket as well. He has a nice touch and is a willing in-area rebounder as well.
