Samuels shot the ball pretty well in the midrange today. He is a slasher who can put the ball on the floor well in straight lines. He has a solid skill set, but he plays pretty stiff. He averaged a team high 11 points and 4 rebounds per game. His 3pt percentage was only 31%.

Samuels is a solid option at the small forward. He will attack the lane off of the bounce but isn’t a specialist in that area based on his play in this eval.

Like our May evals, Samuels is a legit athlete at the wing position. He has good bounce off the floor with a skill set that is developing. He might not possess the same physical upside of classmate PJ Washington (TX) but he’s in that realm of build. We haven’t seen him show that he can stick the open jump shot.

Samuels is a legitimate sized prospect on the wing for a rising sophomore. He is a good athlete who showed here that he should be a slashing option at the rim. We didn’t see him knock down the open jump shot in this eval.

Samuels is a prospect full of potential. He is a long athlete who hit a nice pull-up jumper on the break. Further evaluation will be needed to see what his specialty and his impact will be.
