I still see Lewis as a more than capable bucket getter. He’s more effective right now off of the ball in the Collin Sexton role of going to make play with his scoring. That said, Lewis did handle the ball in the point role effectively here in spurts as well.

Lewis’ strength as a prospect is his ability to handle, make plays and score. In that way you could classify him as a true combo guard. He is strong with the ball and isn’t going to get bumped around a lot. At the same time his ability to attack the rim and score is elite.

Lewis is a scoring minded point guard who creates quickly. His ability to get downhill puts him among the best in the class of 2018. His 15 points per game were impressive, however he still has room to grow with his shot efficiency. He shot 42% from the field and only dished out 3 assists per game as a lead handler.

Is Lewis a point? Is he a scoring guard? Franky, I think he could play either. The bottom line is he makes shots. He’s averaging 13.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists per. He’s shooting 35 percent from beyond the arc but right at 70 percent from the line. Lewis is a guy who longterm should hover between 82 and 85 percent at the line.

Lewis is a smooth point guard playing against mainly 2015 and 2016 grads here. He will attack the lane off of the bounce and can drive and kick the ball. We didn’t see him get a clean look at a jump shot though.
