Ali is a scorer on the wing and gets a lot of his work done before he catches the ball. He moves well left to right to catch in a position where he can attack the defender’s momentum. On one possession versus Team Penny, he refused a ball screen then was able to split defenders in the lane to score on Dedric Lawson. Ali is a wing slasher who can create his own shot. Impressively in game play today he came off of a wing ball screen, hesitated and then hit a pull-up jumper at 17′. His court sense and ability to find the gaps in the defense is remarkable. Ali is not an elite athlete like Antonio Blakeney nor is as polished as Tyler Dorsey.
