Jarvis Johnson – (Minneapolis, Minn.), – Howard Pulley – 2015
Height: 6’1″
Position: Guard
Committed College: Minnesota
Date: July 17, 2014
Evaluator: Jonathan Hemingway
Location: Nike EYBL Peach Jam (North Augusta, S.C.)
Johnson played on the wing here today for his Howard Pulley squad. He did slide over and play some point in spots. He did show a nice floater in traffic, which showed some of the skill that Brandon saw below. However, he did not show to be the dynamic scorer that Brandon had seen in the past.

Johnson struggled in the first half as he still hasn’t shown that he can consistently be the primary ball handler for long stretches. That said he came back with about 5 minutes to go and played much better making the simple pass/play. His frame is almost identical to Desure Bowie (NY-15). Johnson’s footwork on his free throw is unorthodox as they are almost touching each other. Can he run a team consistently at a high level?

Johnson is a big time guard who shined bright on a big stage versus Apple Valley. His scoring-minded type of play reminds me of current NBA guard Mario Chalmers. Johnson’s got a tweener essay 4 hours online rates $27 feel to his game but can score it in bunches. He can dunk off of one step and is a shooter off the catch. Off the bounce, he likes to attack the paint to score it. His sister, Tyshauna, plays at Iowa State.
