Georgios Papagiannis – (Greece), – Team Takeover – 2015
Height: 7’1″
Position:  Center
Committed College: Undecided

Date: May 24, 2014
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: Nike EYBL (Minneapolis, Minn.)

Papagiannis is one of the biggest center prospects that we’ve seen to date and has pro size at the position. In a matchup with classmate Tyler Davis, he was good but not great. He struggled with Davis physicality making it difficult for Papagiannis to score.

The Greek native is establishing himself as one of the premier big men on the EYBL circuit. He currently averages 9.6 points and 6.4 rebounds in eight games for Team Takeover. Listed at 7-1 and 260 pounds he has the length and physicality needed to control the low block at the highest levels. What impressed our staff this weekend at Boo Williams was the number of post moves he was able to convert even while being defended by a big man behind him. Georgio was solid at passing out of the double teams as he effectively chinned the ball to find the open perimeter player. Although he did not demonstrate a face-up game on this weekend, we did see him take a trail three-point on one possession. He held a nice high follow through coupled with footwork that made it seem that he is comfortable shooting from that range. He is already being talked about as a possible lottery pick in the NBA Draft when he decides to come out.
