Location: USA Basketball Mini-Camp (Colorado Springs, Colo.)
Giles is a terrific scorer of the basketball. He puts the ball on the deck hard to score. He can muscle his way to the rim through defenders. At the same time he has range to the arc. Impressively, he even showed a great kill zone floater while in traffic.

Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: USA Basketball U17 Trials (Colorado Springs, Colo.)
This was a much more intimate setting for Giles to show his complete skill set. He made the open 3-pointer and attacked the rim in a way that drew comparisons to Allonzo Trier (Arizona verbal). Giles showed the floor vision to play the point at a high level coupled with the explosiveness and skill needed to score the ball as well. We upgraded him from a 4-plus to a 5-star.

Location: Nike Elite 100 Camp (St. Louis, Mo.)
Giles played the point guard position throughout camp showing himself to be a skilled option capable of pushing the rock in transition. He’s a good athlete with a strong frame. A right-handed shooter, he a couple of mid range jump shots but we didn’t see him connect from beyond the arc.

Location: Nike EYBL (Hampton, Va.)
Giles is a young kid playing with the big boys this weekend. He played his role. He never did too much, but he did not wow with any particular skill either. He defended toughly and projects to be a solid guard option.
