Season Preview Podcast:
The Longhorns begin Karen Aston’s second season determined to improve on last year’s 12-18 record. Led by a roster that returns all five starters, look for the Longhorns to do just that. Senior guard Chassidy Fussell led the team in minutes played and in scoring last season and we expect her to be just as productive again. On the interior, Imani McGee-Stafford played so well that she won multiple postseason Big 12 conference awards. Her play on the interior should be critical professional writing services canberra to the success of this year’s team.
Aston will welcome in four freshman including versatile in-state forward Nekia Jones. When she is not serving as one of the more skilled freshman forwards nationwide, Jones is also a member of the Texas Track and Field team. She is an enjoyable player to watch. Her presence should give this group added depth at either forward position. Kelsey Lang is another ELITE 100 prospect coming out of high school. A legitimate sized post, Lang has the skill and skill to give McGee-Stafford some help at the post position.
As fans of the Horns would expect, Texas pre Big 12 schedule is daunting with graphic organizer for research paper matchups against Stanford, Syracuse, Tennessee and Texas A&M all waiting for them before the end of 2013. Here is a look at coach Aston working with her team in preparation for the 2013-14 season.
