BrandonClayScouting.com Player Evaluations

Date: May 29, 2016
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: Nike EYBL Session IV (Suwanee, Ga.)

Mitchell is a special talent with his combination of skill and athleticism. He battled with classmate Collin Sexton in this one. Mitchell is putting up good numbers with 15 points, 3.6 assists, 3 rebounds per in 16 EYBL games. That brings up the question of his next level position. He’s a scorer who should be able to play on or off of the ball.

Date: May 3, 2015
Evaluator: Jonathan Hemingway
Location: Bob Gibbons Invitational (Suwanee, Ga.)

Mitchell played the point all weekend for the Stars 16U team and was the engine for this team. He pushed the tempo and made plays consistently. He went toe to toe with Collin Sexton (GA-17) and matched him play for play during the semi finals. The question will be whether he can get his jumper consistent enough to keep defenders honest in the long term.

Date: March 15, 2015
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: The Preview (Marietta, Ga.)

Mitchell is a strong, compact guard built like a football player. He played both on and off of the ball today. Height wise, Mitchell might be more of a longterm point but slashes well enough to see minutes off of the ball as well.
