Class of 2019 point guard Dena Jarrells of Dunlow, W. Va, is a tempo changer at the position. She continues to grow her game which was evident with her latest performance at the #PSBTipOffClassic in April 2016. BrandonClayScouting.com Director of Domestic Scouting, Jonathan Hemingway, said that “Jarrells wowed the crowd with terrific dribble moves and nearly impossible passes. Her skill is far ahead of her physical maturity at this point, which further impresses people that watch her. She shoots the ball well particularly in the mid range. She has a good feel for the game that allows her to hit the pull-up jumper before she gets too deep. Keep an eye on this prospect as she will be one of the more talented prospects that come from West Virginia in years to come.”

Brandon Clay’s takeaway – PSBEndOfTheRoad (Sept. 2016): Jarrells reminds me a lot of Jayla Adams from Blue Star in that she finds a way to make plays despite lacking ideal size. Jarrells will attack the rim off the bounce, find an open teammate and knock down the open jumper as well.
