To help gang violence research paper kick off the 2013-14 season the #TeamPSB Analysts take on some important topics of this young season. The fourth topic we had each contributor give their thoughts on first-year head coaches who they expect to shine.

Chris Hansen:

Cynthia Cooper takes over at USC and is looking to get her alma mater back into the NCAA tournament after a considerable drought that dates back to 2006. She might not be a first time head coach but she’s in her first year at Southern Cal.

In USC, Cooper inherits a team that wasn’t exactly short on talent a year ago. She starts with one of the best seniors in the conference in Cassie Harberts and though the loss of Christina Marinacci is noteworthy she gets a healthy Jordan Adams on the perimeter. The Trojans also have a more manageable non-conference schedule so if the new staff can establish some chemistry the Women of Troy should be a tournament contender.

Brandon Clay:

Washington coach Mike Neighbors walks into a golden situation in his first year at the helm of the program, returning four starters off of a team that won 21 games in 2012-13. He adds homework help websites for parents three true freshman who were all ranked in the ELITE 100 as high school seniors by ProspectsNation.com. Neighbors also adds redshirt freshman Katie Collier who was a McDonald’s All-American in 2012. On paper Neighbors’ first year roster will have more collective talent than any first year coach in the country including his predecessor Kevin McGuff who is now at Ohio State.

Keil Moore:

Two young assistant coachess from the state of Kentucky got the opportunity to move into the head coach’s seat this year. Matt Insell will take over at the helm of Ole Miss and Cameron Neubauer moved south to Belmont.

Insell was known nationally as a well-connected recruiter with the ability to sell a program on a national level. At Ole Miss he will have the opportunity to sell his vision for the program and establish himself as one of the better young coach’s in the country. As a former SEC assistant coach Insell’s knowledge of the league should help him adjust to his new position sooner rather than later.

It will be a really exciting time in Nashville, Tenn., as Cameron Neubauer is set to embark on his first season at the helm of the homework help with science Belmont women’s basketball program. Neubauer, who was a key assistant on Louisville’s staff last season, and at Georgia before that, is known around the coaching community as a tireless recruiter with an infectious personality. As a young head coach these will be two weapons that help him build a program of note in Nashville. Heading into this season and in the next few years it will be fun to watch Neubauer’s career take off.

Jonathan Hemingway:

I really like how coach Mike Neighbors’ roster is shaping up at Washington. His Lady Husky team has a good blend of experience and youth. His team has already been picked to finish fourth in the PAC-12 and if they get healthy and some of his freshmen gain confidence by tournament time, they could be a threat to make a run in the post-season.
