Feature Player

Napheesa Collier (O’Fallon, Mo.) Missouri Phenom – 2015

The one constant throughout the night for the Missouri Phenom in the championship game versus the Georgia Hoopstars Black was Napheesa Collier. The 6 foot 1 forward seemed to make every play that the Phenom needed in the game to ensure a championship for her squad. Collier’s writing a good essay for college strength lies in her ability to slash to the basket. She presents a match-up problem because she can scoot past bigger opponents, but also can score over smaller defenders. When Collier finds consistency with her jump shot, she will become a nightmare for all opponents to defend.

Spotlight Players

Morgan Olson (Nappanee, Ind.) Spiece Indy Lady Gym Rats Silver – 2014

There are those moments when teams get huge performances from the unexpected the player. This is exactly what the 6’ forward did in the championship game on Wednesday night. Olson played her position perfectly and led all scorers with 18 points and pulled down eight or more rebounds. The Indiana native is the consummate team player. She does not need a lot of shots to be effective, but she makes the most of her opportunities when they come her way. Olson made all of the hustle plays and tracked down several loose balls that helped her Gym Rat ball club run away with a what are colleges looking for in an essay championship title in the Real Deal in the ‘Ville.

Karyla Middlebrook (Blue Springs, Mo.) Missouri Phenom – 2013

With chaos all around and the proverbial dark clouds hanging above, the Phenom had the one player in the gym that could keep their ship afloat. The 5’7 point guard was the calm within the storm that allowed the Phenom to hang onto a championship victory. The rising senior has shown many times what she is capable of, which is one reason why she has committed to play for Texas Tech in the fall of 2013. However, on this night when the game seemed to be slipping through the hands of the Phenom, it was Middlebrook who provided the ball handling and key free throws to ensure victory for her Missouri team.

Parting Thoughts

The Georgia Hoopstars Black got a huge game from 5-5 guard Marissa Mandeldove in the championship game of the #TeamEBA Division. Mandeldove nailed four three pointers on her way to what can i do for my nation essay a 16 point outburst Wednesday night. Her offensive flurry was the spark that gave Coach Davis’ squad a chance to win down the stretch.

We thought Aaliyah Wilson from The Maryland Pride showed promise at the Real Deal. The athletic point guard showed great wiggle with the ball in her hands. She is going to make a college program better in the coming years.

Darby Foresman continues to improve as projected. The skilled post feels comfortable in her body these days and is making plays in traffic. Her stock continues to rise.
