Shannon Cranshaw of Ormond Beach, Fla., a George Washington signee, and Shaneese Bailey of Callahan, Fla., who signed with Florida Atlantic, headlined last year’s team. However, the backbone of the program certainly resides in its director Lisa Nuxol-Wilson. She brings years of college coaching experience to the sideline. Undoubtedly her experience and research paper written knowledge has translated well to developing the young women out of the Sunshine State.

This year’s edition for Blue Star Florida is as deep in talent as in previous years. A duo of guards lead the way for Coach Nuxol-Wilson’s squad starting with three-star shooting guard Kaylee Barnard of Orlando, Fla. Barnard who attended our Elite Basketball Academy Super 64 Camp in June, is looking to bounce back after being sidelined with an injury for most of the past year. Joining Barnard in the backcourt is three star point guard, Destiny Woodard from New Smyrna Beach, Fla. Woodard’s playing making ability is a help in essay nice compliment for Barnard’s shooting ability. Along the frontline is an athletic three star forward in Karma Jeremie. Her ability to attack the rim creates opportunities for 6-foot-3 post Lindsey Levings of Lake City, Fla. in the lane. Levings committed to North Florida earlier this month.

When speaking to PeachStateBasketball.com owner Brandon Clay about Blue Star Florida, he said “Blue Star Florida always brings quality talent to the floor at every position. What is impressive about their program is that they match talent with execution every time they enter the building. Much credit must go to Coach Wilson for her help to write research paper effort and vision for this program.” When Blue Star Florida takes the court during Real Deal in the ATL, look for them to make a run in bracket play and vie for a championship on July 10th.
