The Lady Celtics of Atlanta, Ga. have steadily grown in numbers and influence under the guidance of Daphne Pierce-Smith. This year the Celtics program boasts of three teams which are all full of developing prospects. The success of previous Celtic alumni has paved the way for this year’s group to flourish. A more notable prospect from last year’s team is Moses Johnson of Lithonia, Ga., who will be a freshman at Chattanooga this fall.

Two dynamic guards headline the Celtic program this year. Jada Byrd of Lithonia, Ga., has elevated her game so much that she is in the discussion of players that could be added into the ELITE150 when ProspectsNation.com expands its’ rankings in the fall. Byrd’s athleticism allows her to make plays in the open court. She has also polished her skill sets to become a guard who can manufacture points in the half court offense. Her backcourt running mate, Brea Elmore of Stone Mountain, Ga., is the perfect complement for Pierce-Smith’s squad. Elmore i hate writing research papers is a combo-guard who defends, makes hustle plays and now is finding her offensive rhythm. This tandem is hard to guard when both are playing well. Along the frontline, the Celtics boast a number of quality post players including Tori Pharr of Newton, Ga. The 6–foot–2 power forward committed to North Florida during the July break.
