Program Notes from Steve Klees:

In an era where people are anxious to change values to keep up with the times, Steve Klees and the Northwest Blazers stick to the formula that has worked for them for over two decades. That philosophy simply put in Klees’ own words, “We keep it essay on my town in hindi fun, we do not try to play too much and we get the kids to travel to different venues.”

The Northwest Blazers program philosophy matches their style of play on the floor. They play the game with unselfishness and simplicity. As Klees noted, “We put emphasis on passing over the bounce. We talk about putting the pass ‘on time, on target.’”

That style of play rang true as the Northwest Blazers Orange dismantled the Nike travel team, DFW T-Jack, in the championship game of JLHemingwayPSB bracket at the Summer Invitational. Their execution, timing and skilled shooting were too much for DFW, who featured a roster full of ELITE 60 prospects. Klees said, “Passing is important, but equally important is getting players to move without the basketball.”

When asked how much time it took to get the players in his program to be able to execute help with dbq essays like they do, he replied “We practice a few times a month. But really, we try to keep it simple. Less is more in that way. The ladies do a great job of playing hard and playing for each other.”

Klees went on to add, “Numbers are nice, when it comes to rankings and scholarships. But what really matters is winning. We play to win regardless of who we are playing.”

The Program:

Klees’ Northwest Blazers exemplify the idea of the whole being greater than the sum of it’s’ parts. However, do not misunderstand the fact that this program is full of real basketball talent. The Northwest Blazers have helped 48 kids sign college scholarships in the past three years alone. This year six kids committed to play Division One basketball before the month of July even began. In the words of Klees, “The girls do pretty well as a essay writers australia result of playing together. And with so many of them committing early, it actually allows them to help their uncommitted teammates get noticed as well. We have 13 juniors in the program and they all will sign a basketball scholarship.”

The Northwest Blazers Orange team was led by University of Idaho commit Mikayla Ferenz of Walla Walla, Wash., during the Summer Invitational. The skilled 5-foot-11 guard handled the ball effectively versus pressure while also shooting the ball at a high rate. She was joined in the backcourt Weber State commit Emily Drake of Pullman, Wash., and Fresno State commit Breanne Knishka of Dryden, Wash. Along the frontline, the Blazers boast of size and skill with Wyoming commit Coreen Lorraine Labish of Spokane, Wash., and 6-3 post Jaisa Nunn of Kirkland, Wash. The Blazers have plenty of talent on the way led by class of 2016 forward Madison Pollock of Snohomish, Wash., law essays uk review who gave her verbal commitment to San Diego earlier this year.

The Northwest Blazers plan to reload five teams again for next year. Look for them to take much of the same path that they traveled this year. They will finish their July in Atlanta as they did this year and with the same formula of success that Klees has used for years.
