While the bulk of exposure opportunities are behind us in the calendar year of 2013, the last weekend of September provides players and college coaches an important opportunity. For uncommitted seniors, it is a chance to earn one last look from an interested program. At the same time this stage provides a chance to peer into the future to see who next year’s “hot” names will become. Here are five players that will earn attention at this year’s National Fall Showcase.

Momentum is building behind the recruitment of 6-foot-3 post player Victoria Harris of Lilburn, Ga., already this year. The athletic shot blocker in the class of 2015 has earned help with introductions to essays visits from many of the schools around the southeast and beyond already this fall. She will be a candidate to break into ProspectsNation.com ELITE 100 when the site expands its rankings this fall.

Another prospect that has earned respect lately is 6-2 class of 2016 wing Erin Whalen of Charlotte, N.C. Her recruitment began to pick up after a strong campaign at the EBA Super 64 Camp in June. She carried that confidence onto the travel circuit in July. The versatile wing player will look to continue the success this weekend.

A prospect that could fit into a number of college programs is Kayla Smith of Fayetteville, Ga. The 5-10 class of wing is heady both on and off the floor. Her skill and work ethic make her handwriting help a valuable player in most any program. Look for her to have a big weekend and a breakout high school season as well.

Kaitlyn Duncan of Commerce, Ga., has already established herself as a solid prospect at multiple Peach State Basketball events. At 6 feet tall, the class of 2015 swing forward is a player that is productive in several areas on the court. However, what is most impressive about her game is her ability to make plays by being active. She will make the transition to the Georgia Hoopstars program this weekend and Coach JD Davis has already raved about her play-making abilities.

This showcase certainly will have a national flavor to it as several prospects from around the country make their pay for writing an essay way to Suwanee Sports Academy. One of those players is 2015 wing Hadley Kiefer of Dublin, Ohio who will be one of the better shooters in the event. At 5-10, she is a player that will draw the attention of many coaches who need a player who can be productive on either end.
