In this Week In Review, ELITE 60 guard Kianna Holland verbal pledge to Duke gets the Blue Devils into the 2013 class with a splash.

Kianna Holland of Seneca, S.C., chose Duke on Thursday and in the process set the foundation for the Blue Devils to have one of the best recruiting hauls in the Class of 2013. Holland is the No. 22-ranked prospect nationally in the ProspectsNation.com ELITE 60. Though the 5-foot-9 combo guard is the only verbal commit for coach Joanne P. Duke is believed to be a frontrunner in the race for No. 19 Sydney Umeri of Acworth, Ga., and the Blue Devils had the nation’s No. 5-ranked player, Rebecca Greenwell from Owensboro, Ky., on campus recently. Both No. 3 Diamond DeShields of Norcross, Ga., and No. 14 Kailee Johnson from Portland, Ore., also have dropped in on the Durham, N.C., campus this school season.

Holland fits right in with Duke’s projected starting backcourt of Chelsea Gray, who will be a senior, and Alexis Jones, who will be a sophomore during the 2013-14 online will writing services season. Carlson Is A Bronco

Wilmoth to IPFW

It is no secret that the Class of 2012 is thin as far as post depth is concerned. This fact coupled with the physical tools that 6-foot-3 post player Danielle Wilmoth of Lagrange, Ohio possesses made her a hot commodity this winter as she saw her recruiting heat up. This week, she made the pledge to stay close to home and play her college basketball in the Summit League for IPFW.
