MARIETTA, Ga. – Our Peach State Media team has combined to provide quality recaps from our events over the past five club seasons. This year will include more interactive features including highlight videos and featured full game broadcasts. We hope that you enjoy our work. That said, here is our first player breakdown from the 72-team Spring Showdown.

Featured Player

Ronni Williams, Central Florida Elite (Daytona Beach, Fla.)
*There is a full highlight video of Williams at the bottom of the page.

Williams has improved leaps and bounds from this time two years ago. The 6-foot-2 forward is versatile as she played four positions over the course of the weekend including an entire half at the point guard spot. Her jumper is developing nicely while her writing a good thesis statement for an argumentative essay athleticism and touch around the rim make a force the be reckoned with in the paint.

Spotlight Players

Te’Erica Eason, Georgia Pistols Williams (Atlanta, Ga.)
The only thing that could stop Eason this weekend was a tough fall late in the title game on Sunday. The 5-8 freshman guard was on point all three games with her ability to score it and pass the ball. Her build puts me in the mind of a slightly smaller version of Duke sophomore point guard Chelsea Gray. Like Gray, Eason is big enough to take contact and finish yet quick enough to hit the open lane like a running back to make a play.

Shay Steele, Carolina Elite (Salisbury, N.C.)
The left-handed forward played like she was on a mission this weekend earning an invite to our Elite Basketball Academy Super 64 Camp June religion essays 9&10 in the process. Now standing at 6-3, Steele has gotten taller and filled out since the last time that our JumpOffPlus.com staff saw her play. She’s running the floor well and finished in traffic at the basket time after time on Saturday afternoon. College coaches need to keep an eye on her during the April evaluation weekend.

Parting Thoughts

Think Chris Hardy’s Carolina Elite program has to be one of the better clubs in the Tarheel State this year. They have a “top team” full of college scholarship players.

Love seeing Tim Marshall from the Blazers Exposure sitting on the stool that he brings with him to the events. Has a long line of talented kids (Tanae Davis-Cain, Lucy Ellison, Kym Ellison). The next one is Ariyah Copeland.

The Atlanta Cagers groups with Rodney Storms have a lot of talent. Think writing an essay my old friend that Camille Anderson, Shelby Threlkeld and Madison Phillips all will be quality players in the coming years.

The Knoxville Lady Panthers are one of the region’s top programs this summer. Ashlee Mitchell and Maelyn Cutshaw have been on our radar for some time. New name alert: Sydni Lollar
