Feature Player

Christa Reed (Bay St. Louis, Miss.) — Bay HS – 2014

Christa Reed of Bay St. Louis, Miss., was locked in on Saturday making her presence early and often.  The 5-foot-10 wing is both efficient and effective with her shot selection while maintaining a consistent presence on defense.  Her length allows her to get her hands on the basketball and play the passing lane.  Reed is a smart kid on and off the floor, allowing her to make the right read on the floor more times than not.  Maybe more importantly she is a shot-maker with range out to the 3-point line, which makes it hard for teams to pinch down on the law school admission essay service South Mississippi Elite post players.

It’s easy to see why multiple NCAA Tournament-caliber programs already have hosted Reed on unofficial visits and put scholarship offers on the table.  Her play over the past six months is sure to have her in the mix as a possible top-100 prospect in her class nationally when that time comes.

Spotlight Player

Laniere Coleman (Longwood, Fla.) — Lake Mary HS — 2013

In an age where “small ball” is all the rage, Laniere Coleman of Longwood, Fla., did her best to make coaches take note of what she brings to table in a game versus A.O.T.  A 6-2 post, she was active on both ends of the floor showing that, even against some of the nation’s top talent, she can finish around the rim and rebound the basketball in traffic.  She’s a force on the interior and her performance with her Blue Star Florida team earned her at least a couple of scholarship offers during the history homework weekend.

Jasmine Mallory-Stone (North Augusta, S.C.) — North Augusta HS — 2014

We have watched Mallory Stone of North Augusta, S.C., grow her game by leaps and bounds since this time last year.  The 5-10 wing provides the Georgia Sting with a versatile perimeter threat capable of scoring in traffic then immediately jumping on the head of the press defensively.  Stone has become more assertive on both ends of the floor.  She also appears to have grown an inch and filled out some as well.  Her performance against a quality Atlanta Cagers team was definitely worth mentioning.

Parting Thoughts

Lexie Brown is looking more and more like an impact scorer for Maryland next season with each eval.

Baylee Rexing and Kayla Smith have stepped their games up this summer showing well for A.O.T. this weekend.

Victoria Harris and Jenna Staiti put law school essay together an impressive head-to-head matchup on Saturday.  It’s easy to see why the young post players are generating college coach interest already.

Team ELITE Pointer is full of top shelf young prospects.  They play hard, are skilled and make life hard for opposing teams.

Keep an eye out for both CBC 2018 and the Tennessee Fury Collier groups.  Both showed real talent throughout both rosters.
