FIRST HALF

20:00 – The gym is packed with approximately 6,500 middle school students. Drake’s “Started From The Bottom” is playing. They love it. IT IS LOUD!

18:53 – So. Guard Celina Rodrigo with an open jump shot to get the Longhorns on the board. 3 to 2 Oklahoma.

17:46 – Oklahoma with a quick run to get the game started forcing a Texas timeout at 8 to 2.

16:11 – I watched So. Wing Brady Sanders get up about 250 shots with assistant George Washington this morning. Right on cue, Sanders makes the open jump shot at 18 feet to make it 10 to 4 Oklahoma.

15:45 – So. Post Imani McGee-Stafford was an ELITE 25 prospect in her class as a high schooler. The 6-foot-8 center showed why with a soft touch on her right-hand half hook in traffic. 10 to 6.

15:31 – essays on human rights Sanders makes a nice pass to fellow So. Guard Empress Davenport for a layup closing the gap to two.

15:11 – McGee-Stafford evens the game with a nice reverse pivot into a 10 foot jump shot.

13:20 – Davenport with another finish around the basket makes it 12 to 10 Texas.

12:10 – Fr. Post Kelsey Lang is an in-state product hailing from The Woodlands. She brought her face up game to the Frank Erwin Center today knocking down a 15 foot jumper.

11:30 – Sanders hits another open shot. She is one of the premier shooters in the Big 12.

9:55 – Lang hits another face up opportunity to make it 20 to 17 in favor of Texas.

6:40 – McGee-Stafford has been a factor on the glass today. She scoops up an offensive rebound and scores making it 22 to 21.

5:13 – Jr. Point Guard Krystle Henderson is giving Karen Aston quality minutes. Henderson just hit a tough pull up jump shot at 12 feet to cut Oklahoma’s lead to one.

3:36 – Sr. Forward GiGi Mazionyte makes two free throws for the Horns as they trail 29 to 26.

:42 – Texas has been in the vicinity to guard mao zedong essay Oklahoma Sr. Guard Aaryn Ellenburg but she is on fire with 21 in the half.

HALFTIME SCORE: Oklahoma 38-26

18:30 – McGee-Stafford starts the second half the way she left before the foul trouble in the first. She makes a nice shot jump shot off of a post feed from Rodrigo.

17:40 – McGee-Stafford with another basket and it’s single digits again at 38 to 30 Oklahoma.

15:30 – Jr. Post Nneka Ememkpali gets involved with the scoring. It’s been an unusually quiet night for her.

15:07 – Davenport is back at it. She went to the bench for a minute but is back and ready to play scoring the basket with the And1. It’s 42 to 35 Oklahoma.

14:30 – Rodrigo strokes a long two-point jump shot making 42 to 37.

12:35 – Lang scores in the post off of a nice assist from Davenport.

11:19 – Davenport with a tough 12 foot pull up to cut the Oklahoma lead to 45 to 41.

10:25 – Henderson makes it 46 to 44 with a layup in transition.

9:35 – It’s a two point game and this place is LOUD!!! Maziontye cuts it to a one point deficit at 47-46.

7:45 – New Texas football online assignment coach Charlie Strong steps out to address the crowd.

7:05 – Maziontye with a 3-pointer to cut it to 51-49. Texas is right on the cusp of getting the right back.

5:59 – Davenport sticks two free throws. She’s played a solid all-around game on both ends.

4:45 – McGee-Stafford with a TOUGH catch on the interior and the ensuing finish off the glass. 55 to 53 Oklahoma.

4:13 – Henderson is so fast from end-to-end. The deficit is back to two at 57 to 55.

3:38 – Maziontye is making the corner her home as she buries another 3-pointer. It’s 59 to 58 Oklahoma.

3:15 – Ellenburg strikes again with a 3 on the ball screen. She has 35 for the Sooners.

2:33 – Ememkpali with a strong finish on the interior to close it to a 63-60 game.

1:59 – Davenport hits two more free throws to make it 63-62.

:59 – Henderson banks in a 3-pointer off the glass for the Longhorns. Despite a 37-point outing from Ellenburg, Texas is down just two at 67-65.

:46 – Ememkpali fouls out on a defensive play. It’s a big loss on the interior the rest of the way for the Horns. That said Oklahoma have someone write a book report for you only converts leaving the door open for Texas…

:35 – Maziontye makes the corner home one more time with a 3-pointer to tie the game at 68 forcing a Sherri Coale timeout for OU.

END OF REGULATION: 68-68

OVERTIME

3:27 – Oklahoma struck first with a 2-pointer but Davenport responds with two more free throws to tie the game at 70.

2:29 – Lang with a nice 10 footer reminiscent of what she was doing early in the game that gives Texas the lead at 72-70.

:30 – Lang makes a free throw to make it 75 to 72.

:9 – Henderson makes two free throws to make it 77 to 72. It’s been a great night for the Texas reserves.

:2 – Henderson makes two more to ice the game. The Longhorns get one at 79 to 74.

FINAL SCORE: Texas 79 – 74
