Feature Player

TeErica Eason (Atlanta, Ga.) — Lovett HS — 2015

TeErica Eason showed that she has all the characteristics of an elite guard on Saturday morning at the End of the Road Championships.  The 5-foot-8 combo guard is a strong and explosive player with the ball in her hands.  In the style of Meighan Simmons, a junior at the University of Tennessee, she is a scoring-minded guard who can create space to get her own shot at any time.  Eason works best when she is left to beat her defender in isolation settings, but she is developing the understanding of how to involve her teammates when the defense overextends.

The upcoming season how can i writing essay will be important for Eason as her high school team tries to defend its AA State Championship title in Georgia.  If she continues to make plays as she did this weekend, a repeat title is very possible for the Lovett Lady Lions.

Maya Benham (Douglasville, Ga.) — Douglasville HS – 2015

The progression of the 5-10 wing has been noticeable this past year.  The well-built perimeter player has a number of physical gifts that have earned her attention from of the Southeast’s top programs and even a few scholarship offers as a sophomore in high school.  Benham has improved her stroke from the arc and continues to attack as a powerful driver in traffic.  The next step for her will be to put consistent performances together.

All Southeast Showcase Rewind

The All Southeast Showcase was a huge success with over 80 college coaches in the building on Friday night and Sunday morning.  It proved to be profitable for at least two players who locked down verbal commitments after the weekend. Baylee Rexing committed to Ole Miss after her solid showing with her A.O.T. Lady Rebel team.  Brianna Farris locked up a commitment to Long Island University after their coaching staff term papers for sale plagiarism was on hand to watch her play at Suwanee Sports Academy.

Two athletic wings who impressed during the showcase were Lorrie Cruse and Monesha Womble.

A shifty point guard out of the St. Augustine, Fla. area, Jasmine Kearse, proved to be an exceptional play maker with the ball in her hands.

At 6-3 Harlyn Wyatt is a watch-list prospect.  She has the length to be an impact defender at the next level.
