Berry is a talented forward with the skill to play either forward position. At 5-foot-11, she has the length to be good in the open floor, play the top of the press and make life hard on the other team by getting into passing lanes.
Name: Noraziah “Nora” Berry
School: Cleveland HS
Location: Cleveland, Tenn.
Grad Year: 2014
Current Position: SF/PF
Projected Position: SF/PF
In addition to her length and emerging skill set, Berry has a nice spot up jumper and a good overall feel for the game as a whole. At times during the club season, I’ve seen her play four different positions defensively.
Areas To Improve
Berry has the ability to become a dominant presence on the glass with her athleticism and length if she’ll commit to going after each and every single rebound on both ends. That is an area where she can create a niche for herself. Adding a consistent counter (change of direction) handle to her arsenal on the offensive end will really add to her game as well.
The Bottom Line
It’s hard to find players with Berry’s athletic ability and length these days. I love what the combo forward brings to the table for her future college program. She has all of the tools to be a scholarship player at the next level. Putting the tools together through focused skill development is the key.
