As with any verbal commitment there are a number of winner’s and losers.  In the fall out of Kendall Cooper’s decision to make Duke her school of choice. Clearly the biggest winner is Duke. When the 6-foot-3 post player from Carson, Calif., made her decision, she gave Duke a major boost in the race for the No. 1 recruiting class in the country.

Next year at Duke, No. 12 Cooper will be joined by No. 6 Rebecca Greenwell of Owensboro, Ky., No. 10 Oderah Chidom of Oakland, Calif., and No. 32 Kianna Holland of Seneca, S.C., as members of the graduating class the best essays of 2017. Cooper’s arrival in Durham will give Duke one of the most talented frontcourts in the country as she is slated to team up with Elizabeth Williams, Haley Peters, Amber Henson, Richa Jackson, Katie Heckman, and fellow freshman Chidom. That group would give Duke six top 25 rated high school prospects at the forward and post positions.

The class of 2013 has been very kind to the ACC.  As a result of Cooper’s decision to head east and make her home in the ACC, the conference as a whole also is a winner. If you throw Notre Dame into the mix, the ACC would be responsible for seven of the top 15 recruiting classes in help with sociology essays the country, with five of the top 10 prospects in the country headed to the league next year.

Earlier this year North Carolina jumped out to a blistering start picking up four top-25 recruits in a day. As a result of their success, many who follow recruiting were certain that they would finish the year with the No. 1 recruiting class in the country. In the months that followed North Carolina’s impressive recruiting haul, Maryland and Virginia scored verbal commitments from key top 100 prospects and rounded out stellar classes of their own, giving the ACC three elite recruiting classes before the fall recruiting madness ever started.

In recent weeks, Miami and then Georgia Tech were what to write my psychology research paper on able to score headlines of their own as Miami first picked up one of the true gems of the summer in Adriene Motley of Newport News, Va., and then Tech was able to score the No. 2 recruit in the country, Kaela Davis of Buford, Ga.

Slowly throughout all of that Duke picked up a commitment here and there. They scored Holland in the early part of the calendar year. In September it was Greenwell’s turn to pick the ACC school as her destination. Chidom made her decision in October and now we have Cooper in November.

With Cooper in hand, Duke can make an argument for the top recruiting class in the country, though it will surely medical research papers be debated as the spot that in June looked destined to reside down the road in Chapel Hill. In the coming weeks and months we will analyze this a million times, but what we do know is there is a ton of talent headed to the ACC next year and in the years to follow we will see them settle it all on the court.
