Mauney is a pace-setter at the point guard position. He can push the ball in transition and play fast with the quickest in camp. He showed a very good handle as well in the half-court as he was able to navigate through traffic effectively. His ability to hit the gaps as a penetrator forces the help defense to collapse, which opens up his ability to distribute to his teammates. Mauney also showed range on his jumper, which gives balance to his well polished skill set.
