Ponds is too slick with the ball. He can slither in and out of defenders all day long. He has a slight frame, but he makes plays. He scored 40 points tonight vs. Chino Hills and nearly led a comeback victory against the Ball Brothers.

Ponds is a left-handed point guard who showed he could read the high ball screen effectively in the half-court. He finished consistently at the basket while also displaying good instincts within a structured system.

Ponds will push the tempo of the floor with his ability to get from end-to-end in a hurry. The left-handed point guard was impactful here in that area of the game with plenty of scorers surrounding him.

Ponds played off of the ball primarily in this match-up. He moved well off screens to get open jump shots. He showed very good juice in his legs while also having vision with the pass when help committed.

Ponds is a slender-framed option at the point position. The left-handed guard hit a 3-pointer here but didn’t showcase a specialty.
