Carruth played the point guard positition this weekend. He showed much of the same skill and athleticism that he showed in the past. He is strong to the bucket and proved he can score through contact. Finding a consistent follow through on his jumper will help him become consistently productive on the offensive end.

Carruth is a strong bodied guard who gives great effort on both ends of the court. He is a strong on ball defender. His energy helps set the tone for his team from the outset. Offensively he provides ball handling duties while also getting the ball moving in the half court with the pass.

Carruth is listed as a wing, but he showed lead guard play-making skills this weekend. He is adept at placing the ball in the right spot at the right time. At the same time he showed play creation skill by using the ball skill to get into the lane. He read the defense well even at times rejecting the ball screen to finish at the rim.
