Location: NBPA Top 100 Camp (Charlottesville, Va.)

Walker’s athleticism allows him to compete at both ends of the floor at high levels. In fact, at one point he was matched up with 6-10 PF Mohamed Bamba and held his own. He did not demonstrate himself to be a go-to offensive option in this setting.

Location: Under Armour Invitational (Houston, Texas.)

Walker hasn’t displayed the same separation that a classmate like D.J. Harvey (MD) has but is definitely in the mix with J.J. Smith (NC) right now. Walker has great size even playing at the U17 level. He’s a willing passer versus the zone.

Location: Atlanta Hardwood Jamfest (Atlanta, Ga.)

Walker is a shooting guard with size. He showed the willingness to drive it to the rim consistently here today. He uses his strength and brute force to navigate through traffic. His free throw is a bit inconsistent, but he hit a few threes here today. He is a good athlete, but not a great athlete. We didn’t see the mid-range game today like we had seen previously.

Location: OTR Fall Showcase (Atlanta, Ga.)

Walker has a unique combination of athleticism, skill and size. He has a number of tools that will translate instantly to the next level. He showed a great mid-range pull-up game as well as some exceptional vertical explosion.

Walker has a similar impact as Kobi Simmons (GA-16) did here last year. Walker isn’t as explosive as Simmons but is a cross between him and Alabama verbal Devin Mitchell (GA-14). Walker is a good shooter, smooth with the ball and can create a shot. He’s not a great leaper but still finished well in traffic.
