Bethea came off of a strong freshman campaign where he played valuable minutes for coach Russ Triaga at Dacula High School. In an area where basketball is highly competitive, playing on a state tournament team this is no small feat as a freshman. Although Bethea only participated in skill sessions at this camp, he showed his ball handling and ability to create well. As the 5-foot-11 guard adds inches and pounds to his frame, we expect his production to increase as a result.

Bethea is a natural point guard who demonstrated his ball handling skills at the camp. His ability to keep the defense leaning the wrong way opened up opportunities for him to slice into the paint or hit the open jumper. Impressively the rising freshman showed poise beyond his years in this camp setting. He showed the ability to hit the open jumper, but that will be an area that he will want to add consistency in years to come.
