BrandonClayScouting.com Player Evaluations

Date: May 24, 2016
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: Nike EYBL Session IV (Suwanee, Ga.)

Thomas is a big body in the middle who could potentially play either post spot. He’s averaging solid numbers: 9.1 points, 4.8 rebounds per in 16 EYBL games. He will battle on the inside though not as polished as the elite tier of posts in EYBL play.

Date: March 15, 2015
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: The Preview (Marietta, Ga.)

Thomas showed bounce and length in this eval. He stepped out and hit the 3-pointer. On the defensive end, Thomas contested and blocked James Banks multiple times.

Thomas proved to be the player who is most likely to make the biggest splash in the state of Georgia in the sophomore. At 6-7 Thomas played with the ball in his hands a fair amount of time and made the plays that you would expect from a lead handler. Thomas still projects as a bigger wing long-term and showed those wing play-making skills at the Georgia Challenge. His ability to get shots off in the mid-range appears to be his greatest strength at the moment. He has great ‘shake’ with his footwork to shoot over smaller defenders. While he also has the explosion to get to the rim around slower opponents. Thomas recently picked up an offer from Kennesaw State and is poised to pick up even more with this skill set.
