BrandonClayScouting.com Player Evaluations

Location: The Preview (Marietta, Ga.)

Moore is a swing forward with length. His skill is improving finishing with both hands around the rim here. He has a good feel for the game.

Location: OTR Fall Showcase (Duluth, Ga.)

Moore again showed his skill today in this showcase format and appears to be comfortable as a lead guard. He appears to model his game after Anfernee Hardaway in that he is has terrific handling ability coupled with length and athleticism. If there is a knock on his game at the moment is that he settles for a lot of jumpers rather than trying to get into the lane to create. However, he is a smooth, skilled athletic guard who will be one to watch for years to come.

Moore appears to want to be a point guard. He showed the handling ability to do just that here today. He showed a wise back dribble versus a trap while also demonstrating real explosiveness to get around defenders. All the while he has elite athleticism, which he demonstrated by tip-dunking a missed shot in the lane.

Although just an 8th grader, Moore showed that he belonged skill-wise in this setting. He was very willing to handle the ball and even take a play-making role in game play. He hit a 3 behind a ball screen which is impressive given his size and stature. He still has plenty of maturation left in front of him and it is hard to tell what his ultimate position on the floor will be.

Moore showed his potential here playing the point guard position against guys three or four years his senior. He didn’t show a specialty during the event but his long term upside is intriguing. He hit a 17 footer then attacked the rim to score with his right.
