BrandonClayScouting.com Player Evaluations

Date: June 11, 2016
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: Nike Elite 100 Camp (St. Louis, Mo.)

Johnson is smooth with his game as an off the ball perimeter threat. He’s skilled showcasing both the ability to attack the lane and shoot the outside jumper as well.

Evaluator: Jonathan Hemingway
Location: Nike Elite 100 Camp (St. Louis, Mo.)

Johnson is a wing with a terrific frame. He has bounce to finish at the rim while also possessing physicality to take the bump. He is good in transition, but has enough skill to be effective in the half court.

Evaluator: Jonathan Hemingway
Location: Nike EYBL Session IV (Atlanta, Ga.)

Johnson is a versatile guard with a great frame. He has broad shoulders and impact the game inside and out. He finished the circuit averaging 16.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He only made 6 threes for the season.

Date: May 24, 2016
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: John Lucas Invitational (Louisville, Ky.)

Johnson is a long option who showed himself capable of playing either wing position in this eval. He is a right-hand dominant slasher especially in straight lines right now. We didn’t see him showcase a consistent jump shot here.
