Johnson played almost exclusively off of the ball in this eval. He wants to get downhill off the bounce to make plays. In that way, Johnson is an elite specialist capable of producing based on getting into the lane.

Johnson is a longer option at the point guard position. He’s most comfortable with the ball in his hands. Johnson is a good athlete, capable scorer in addition to passer.

Johnson played the PG full-time this weekend. He shot it pretty well today in a loss to Montverde Academy, but it was his ability to attack the rim that was most impressive today. He drew fouls and scored a team high 22 points.

Johnson was good again in this eval showing himself to be a long, right-handed option at the point guard spot. He hit the open 3-pointer but not showcasing himself as a specialist in that regard

Johnson’s 3pt jumper was inconsistent today, but he did finish shooting 42% from beyond the arc on the circuit season. I am not ready to classify Johnson as a full time PG as his decision making and assist numbers are left to be desired. He averaged 2 assists and 2 turnovers per game. His overall FG % was poor at 39%. He is a big contributor at 13 points per game, but consistency will be the issue for him moving forward.

Johnson showed in this eval that he can create some off of the bounce as well. He’s got good size at the two guard position and is a good athlete.

Johnson played a bit of PG and SG here today. He is a smooth guard with skill. He has a very nice pull-up jumper. His game seems to rounding out and he was more impactful today than what I have seen in the past two viewings.

Johnson again played off of the ball here today. He has a solid handle, but lacks a definable specialty. He is good in space going downhill.

Johnson is a freshman playing on a big stage here this afternoon. He shot the ball very well here today and he has the technique that will afford him to be able to shoot it consistently. He is not quite ready to be a creator off the of the dribble as of yet. He doesn’t have the explosiveness and he is very right hand dominant.
