BrandonClayScouting.com Player Evaluations

Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: USA Basketball Mini-Camp (Colorado Springs, Colorado)

Bazley was fantastic in this setting. His energy and activity separates him from similar looking prospects. He struggled to stretch the floor with his outside shot showing a bit of an awkwardness in his delivery. Though Bazley’s skill set is still a work in progress, his ability to make plays at the rim with his bounce was noteworthy.

Bazley is a hybrid forward as a face up 4 guy based on his play here. He was much more comfortable in that role than he was back to basket. A left-hand dominant prospect, Bazley didn’t showcase the ball skill needed to play the perimeter full-time but did a myriad of things well in this elite setting.

Bazley is a combo forward that reminds me of Ira Lee (CA-17). He posted up and finished while also leading the break as a handler. He has good size and a high follow through.
