BrandonClayScouting.com Player Evaluations

Date: June 11, 2016
Evaluator: Brandon Clay
Location: Nike Elite 100 Camp (St. Louis, Mo.)

Lawson is as impressive physically as his brother, Dedric. He’s got the length to be effective on the inside and the skill to play on the perimeter. His play here was a noteworthy as classmate Christian Brown. Keep an eye on Lawson’s outside shooting as that’s an area for improvement based on this eval.

Date: June 11, 2016
Evaluator: Jonathan Hemingway
Location: Nike Elite 100 Camp (St. Louis, Mo.)

Lawson was one of the premier prospects at the camp. With a 7’6 wingspan and silky smooth jumper, he was fun to watch from a skill perspective. In game play he showed nice shake to get his shot in the mid-range. Although athletic, he is not super explosive. Much like his brother, he will rely upon his jumper to score. He doesn’t get to the bucket consistently to get buckets.
