BrandonClayScouting.com Player Evaluations

Date: May 29, 2016
Evaluator: Jonathan Hemingway
Location: Nike EYBL Session IV (Suwanee, Ga.)

Gordon showed more the footwork and touch that we have seen in previous evaluations today in a match-up versus the St. Louis Eagles. At one point he ran the floor, found the defender, spun and sealed for a bucket in transition. He finished with eight points on 4/4 shooting.

Gordon just gets it done on the interior. He looks like a Power 5 defensive end on the hardwood. Gordon produces the way you’d expect a guy of his stature to do with 10.3 points, 6.2 rebounds per on 61 percent from the field. He can improve his free throw percentage of 58.

Location: USA Basketball U16 Trials (Colorado Springs, Colo.)

Gordon has some similarities to Caleb Swanigan with his size, feet and skill in the paint. Gordon’s strength is tough to handle down low and made a nice move to the rim to finish.

Evaluator: Jonathan Hemingway
Location: USA Basketball Mini-Camp (Colorado Springs, Colo.)

Gordon is a physical, aggressive post up type power forward. He showed a nice up and under move and did a nice job of finishing above the rim. He has a flat release on his jumper.

Gordon is an active power forward with elite level footwork. He is a guy capable of finishing who is going to remind a lot of people of a Zach Randolph. Gordon is a grinder on the interior with skill.
