Willis won over the entire staff this weekend. We have watched him consistently over the past 12 months and there was a sniff of a lack of effort or enthusiasm for the game. He goes full tilt with a Russell Westbrook like of pace of play with the ball in his hands. Yet it is his mindset that sets Willis apart from his peers. There is no fluff to his mentality. He goes through drills during camps and never skips a rep. He encourages teammates and leads by example. In terms of tracking a prospect’s trajectory at the next level, we feel confident that Willis will successful wherever he lands. His character and work ethic will ensure he perserveres over the next four years.

Willis is a hyper-athletic guard who can spend time at either back-court position. He showed his ability to get downhill and finish at the bucket very well this weekend. He is an equally good defender as he can pressure ball handlers into poor decisions. Willis showed flashes of being a solid shooter from beyond the arc. When he is in rhythm, he becomes a threat to score the ball from the perimeter or off the bounce.
