Strengths

Standing 6-foot-2, Monroe has good size at the position with a skill set that makes him a tough matchup for opposing defenders. A right-hand dominant guard, his style of play is similar to Florida Gulf Coast signee Christian Terrell. Like ghost writer for students academic paper Terrell, Monroe is capable of knocking down the open 3-pointer or attacking the paint to create a scoring opportunity while also displaying the floor vision to keep his teammates engaged in the game. On one possession during our evaluation, Monroe’s diverse skill set had the opposing defender so confused that he wasn’t sure whether to go over or under the screen getting caught in no man’s land in the process. Monroe calmly made the 3-pointer off of the bounce. On the other end of the hardwood, he is averaging right at four steals a game. The most impressive part of that stat is Monroe’s defensive technique playing online, up-line with the palm closest to ball in the passing line.

Area To Improve

At the collegiate level, the skill to create going off of the bounce going in either direction is imperative against the top teams regardless of division of play. Monroe will essay writing methods have to continue to develop getting downhill on opposing defenders using his left hand. At the high school level, his combination of speed and talent allow him to use his right hand more times than not to finish at the rim or find an open teammate. If Monroe shows that progression with his off hand, his game will continue to flourish as a result.

The Bottom Line

Monroe is a stellar student as well. He boasts a 3.9 GPA and is a member of Key Club. Given those stats, there is no surprise that he understands the game as well as he does. Monroe is an excellent point guard prospect capable of filling up the stat sheet in four categories (assists, points, rebounds and steals) on a nightly basis.
