Brenden Anderson G8 100Brenden Anderson #G8 (Macon, Ga.), Westside HS – 2018

Anderson is a promising guard with several tools that he has already developed. Standing at 6-foot-1, he has the size and the athleticism to play either back court position. He is particularly effective at using his body to score on the drive. Anderson’s poise and touch in the lane made him a consistent performer at the camp. He even demonstrated the ability to knock down the open jumper with his feet set. Showing that he can hit the jumper off of the dribble will be the next step in Anderson’s development.

Bre'Land Knuckles G2 100Bre’Land Knuckles #G2 (Greenville, S.C.), J.L. Mann HS – 2018

Knuckles is a point guard who played with confidence this weekend. Standing at 5-9 he is best suited as a natural floor general in the future. He showed the ability to run the team when given the chance in camp games. Knuckles is a willing passer and used his court vision to place the ball in the right spot at the right time. Most importantly he was able to start the break by pitching ahead in transition. Although a natural distributor, we would like to see Knuckles be able to get his own shot when the situation calls for it. That could come in the form of hitting the open jumper or creating off the high ball screen.

Austin Weiner 100Austin Weiner #G18 (Gainesville, Ga.), Heritage HS –
2020

Weiner is showing that he steps ahead of many of classmates. He appears to have grown even more since our last viewing. His height and perimeter jump shot give him the ability to compete at high levels even at an early age. The rising eighth grader is showing improved mobility on the court, which is important for player his size at his age. The critical part of his development centers around him improving his basketball IQ. He has tools and athleticism to work with, however understanding how to ultilize these talents is the next step for the young prospect.
