At 6-foot-6 Benson is a problem every where he plays. His physical strength allows him to snag rebounds and brush off opponents in the lane. Yet, as he showed at the Top 40 Camp, he has the explosiveness to burn past defenders when handling the basketball. Few players in the nation blend his combination of strength, explosiveness and skill as he demonstrated at this camp.

At 6-foot-6 Benson is a skilled left handed combination forward that can shoot the ball. He has a pretty stroke and knocks down open three’s and mid range shots off the catch or dribble. He also impressed with his ability to put the ball on the deck and get to the rim at will.

Benson is a strong, left-handed wing player. He finished at the rim with contact and proved amongst a gym full of top talent that he is a star in the making. Like we mentioned below, Benson is a good athlete capable of hitting the 15 footer or the 3-pointer.

Benson is a talented wing player who played the 1 through the 4 here for his HS team against a solid North Atlanta bunch. He hustled for loose balls, made the open jump shot and played the game with a polish usually reserved for older prospects. He’s a good shooter but surprisingly given his built, Benson does not look to attack the rim consistently. That said, he is a good rebounder from the perimeter. He’s got a major college ready frame right now.
