Dorsey can play either guard position. In the two times that I have seen him, he has spent almost equal time playing the point and the off guard spot. He struggled early trying to find a rhythm but got himself going with a couple trips to the free throw line. He even posted up smaller classmate Justin Jenifer to get a couple of good looks inside.

Dorsey dominated the game that I watched him play and continue his strong game play later in the week. Although he can play the point, I think he is comfortable off the ball as a shooter. He is a skilled guard who can punish defenses if he gets a look from beyond the arc. He is not the athlete that Antonio Blakeney is, but he is a better shooter and perhaps will make the nuanced plays that Blakeney won’t at times. For instance, Dorsey attacked in transition and willingly found an open shooter even when he had two feet in the lane while double teamed. Then in the half-court, he fed the post and spaced off of the action. When Dorsey is tuned in, he is as tough of a guard to defend that I have seen.

Dorsey is a play -creator & a shooter. He will dominate the ball at times & the ball will get stuck in his hands. They ended up losing this game to Etiwanda in OT after leading most of the first half. He is gritty & he plays hard. He will rebound from his position. There is a lot to like about him, but he has a lot to learn as well.

Location: City of Palms (Fort Myers, Fla.)
Dorsey is an explosive point guard capable of making the 3-pointer off of the catch or off the bounce. Dorsey has a feel to his game of a young Austin Rivers given his penchant for making plays with the ball in his hands. He is fast from end-to-end and explosive off the floor. His attitude got him a technical foul early in the second half giving him his fourth personal.
